About Us

We build outdoor spaces the way we wish someone had built ours.

How This Started

After ten years of building homes and commercial spaces, I realized something that kept nagging at me. I was watching contractors and designers treat outdoor projects like afterthoughts—rushed jobs squeezed between indoor work, decisions made without really talking to the people who would actually use the space. I kept thinking about the homeowners standing in their backyards, looking at what they got, and knowing something felt off but not sure why.

That frustration didn't fade. It grew. So in 2025, I made the decision that felt overdue: I stopped being part of the system and started my own. A company built on one simple idea—that outdoor spaces deserve the same thoughtfulness, honest conversation, and craftsmanship that go into everything else that matters in a home.

The early projects taught me what I should have known already. Every backyard is different. Every family uses their space differently. You can't design by formula. You have to listen first, ask questions second, and build third. That's where we start, and that's where we stay.

'We built this because we're veterans—we value direct communication, doing what we say, and treating people's homes with the respect they deserve.'

— Owner & Builder

What We've Learned

Being veteran-owned isn't just a label for us. It's a way of showing up. We say what we're going to do, and then we do it. No overselling, no vague timelines, no disappearing when problems show up. I've seen too many contractors cut corners or ghost clients when things get complicated. We don't operate that way. You'll talk to the same person from first conversation to final walkthrough.

We've learned that the personal part matters more than it sounds. You're inviting us into your home, your space, your vision for how you want to spend your time outside. That requires respect. It requires showing up on time, being clean and professional, and genuinely caring about whether this project makes your life better. We treat every project like it's ours—because in a way, it is while we're working on it.

Communication is where most projects break down. Homeowners think they said something clearly, contractors think they heard something different, and by the time the problem surfaces, it's too late and too expensive to fix. We've built communication into everything we do. Questions at the start. Updates along the way. Honest conversations when something needs adjusting. That's not extra—that's the job.

Why We Focus on Outdoor Spaces

Focusing specifically on decks allows us to continually improve our craft. Outdoor structures deal with weather, moisture, sun exposure, and constant use. Building something that lasts requires careful planning, quality materials, and attention to detail throughout the construction process.

By specializing in deck construction, we’re able to focus on those details and continue improving how we design and build outdoor spaces. But the biggest reason we focus on decks is the impact they have on how people use their homes.

A well-built deck often becomes the place where families gather, where celebrations happen, and where people spend time enjoying the outdoors. Knowing that something we build becomes part of those everyday moments is one of the most rewarding parts of the work. .

Why Choose Pacific Deckworks

Choosing a contractor is a big decision. Your home and property matter, and you want to know the work will be done right.

At Pacific Deckworks, we focus on a few simple principles that guide every project.

Clear Communication

From the first conversation to the final walkthrough, we keep communication straightforward and honest. Questions are answered, expectations are clear, and you always know what’s happening with your project.

Quality Craftsmanship

A deck should look great and last for many years. We focus on solid construction practices, quality materials, and attention to detail so the finished product holds up over time.

Veteran-Owned Values

Being veteran-owned means approaching work with discipline, accountability, and follow-through. When we commit to a project, we take that responsibility seriously.

Focused Expertise

Deck building isn’t just something we do occasionally—it’s the focus of our business. That focus allows us to continually refine our process and improve the results we deliver for homeowners.

Our Process

Building a deck should feel straightforward and organized. Our process is designed to keep things simple and transparent from start to finish.

1. Initial Conversation

Every project starts with a conversation. We talk about your ideas, how you want to use your outdoor space, and what you’re hoping to build.

2. Site Visit & Planning

We visit your property, look at the layout of your yard, and discuss options for design, materials, and structure. This helps us create a plan that fits both the home and the property.

3. Project Proposal

Once we understand the scope of the project, we provide a clear proposal outlining the work involved, materials, and timeline.

4. Construction

During the build, we focus on quality craftsmanship, a clean jobsite, and steady progress toward completion.

5. Final Walkthrough

Once the deck is finished, we walk through the project with you to ensure everything meets expectations and is ready to be enjoyed.

Built for the Way You Live Outside

At the end of the day, a deck is more than just lumber and fasteners.

It’s the place where people gather, where conversations happen, and where everyday moments become lasting memories.

At Pacific Deckworks, our goal is to build outdoor spaces that people genuinely enjoy spending time in—spaces that make being outside part of everyday life.

If you're thinking about building a deck or improving your outdoor living space, we'd be happy to talk about your project
